Senior Sunrise

by Jessenia Varela-Gomez

On August 22, 2025, the Senior Class of 2026 celebrated the start of their final year of high school with Senior Sunrise. Students woke up bright and early to be on campus at 5:30 am to catch the sun.

The event was run and decorated by the student Class of 2026. Seniors got to take photos in front of Winnie the Pooh themed balloon arches, big light up senior letters, hand painted back drops, use creative photo ops made by leadership and the class and even take pictures with Winnie the Pooh. There were even several types of games to be played in warrior park.

While the sun rose, students got to lay om blankets or gather around warrior park to watch the sun rise with the rest of their class and their close friends. During which students got the chance to buy a drink from Travlin Tom or enjoy some mini goodies from Bellas Mini Pancakes.

To end the event a big class photo was taken with all seniors' presents and then another photo with every senior who wore decorated “Senior Pants.” Seniors also had the opportunity to paint and put their hand on a big “Senior Class of 2026” poster hung up by the main entrance at the front of Fresno High.

Lola Medina, Class Treasure of 2026 said, “We were dedicated to ensuring Senior Sunrise would be a memorable experience for the class of 2026.”
