The Downfall of Hip Hop

My favorite music genre easily goes to Hip Hop. Hip Hop grew into the number one music genre in the 1980’s. It has stayed on top of the game for decades but in my opinion it’s currently on its downfall. 

One of the biggest influences on a person is music. Music can determine how you feel and how you feel determines what you do and how you act. Especially Hip Hop. The influence that music artists spread these days is not the same. I think most of these artists are a bad influence for this generation. I like the 90’s and 00’s era. The music artist in the 90’s especially probably had the most massive impact on people. A good impact as well.  Both generations most commonly preach about their lifestyle. Back then it was less toxic.  

A lot of the most popular music artists back then like 2pac, Jay Z, Eminem, Snoop Dogg came up from nothing, just talent. There aren't many new artists like that. So that’s where the shift happened because nowadays when music artists speak about their lifestyle, it’s more toxic and less talent involved in their music. The artist in the 90’s lyrics were more powerful and meant more than this generation, it was real.  

Me personally I’m not a big fan of the new school. I see a lot of people taking inspiration from these artists and they just have degenerate ideals which has a negative effect obviously. Mostly on the youth. Hip Hop is dying in my opinion.
