Fresno High Marching Band Represents at the Fairgrounds

by Layla Murillo Torres

Fresno High School's Warrior Marching band took the track on October 14, 2026, to perform in the Big Fresno Fair's Big Band Review against 23 other schools! The event featured The Warrior Marching band alongside other elite school bands. Unlike other typical tournaments, this tournament doesn't separate schools by division or band size, meaning each school went head-to-head for the grand prize of $1,500 dollars.

Although the placement of the Fresno High band for the tournament was not confirmed; it was confirmed that Dinuba took the top overall prize. Even though the Warrior Marching Band did not place in the top 3, they had the exciting opportunity of being one of the 24 lucky schools competing on the track.

Band members expressed how glad they were to compete and how much they enjoyed themselves at the fair with other band members, Assistant drum major, Elihana Murillo stated that, "I think it was a very fun yet competitive experience. I really enjoyed my time there at the fair."
