Warrior Rack is Convenient and Free

by Kylie Pellouoso

Warrior Rack is an event that takes place at lunch for Fresno high school students. It happens every other Thursday and can be found at Warrior Park right in front of Royce Hall. This event consists of donated clothing where students can enter their ID number and grab items for free! But where are they getting this donated clothing, you may ask? You can find a donation box in front of the parking lot on Echo Street where anyone can drop off some clothing to donate.

Warrior Rack is an event that many students love and need. Some students say it's like a thrift store but better considering it's free, and others appreciate how thoughtful the event is as students may not be able to buy these clothes on their own.

This event is a perfect example that shows how Fresno High cares for their students. It proves that academics are not the only things the school values; they value connecting relationships and the bonded community they have created.

CTE DAY

by Sofie Zuniga

CTE Day, formerly known as the Career Fair, took place in the original Fresno High gym on February 26. This annual event is organized by Job Developer, Ms. Patti Gutierrez. Although the name has changed, the core mission and structure remain consistent, fostering a vibrant atmosphere for students and teachers to explore and celebrate our Career Technical Education programs.

Teachers registered their classes, enabling them to enjoy a day filled with exploration, inspiration, and fun. There were a variety of booths, including military representatives, law enforcement, job opportunities, and professionals from the medical field. Attendees had the chance to win exciting prizes, such as stress balls, candy, and small gadgets, by answering trivia questions correctly.

This event serves as an opportunity for students of all grade levels to gain a head start in the workforce and on their future career journeys. “Events like these are more enjoyable when candy and prizes are involved,” shared Joseph Reyes.
