Mimi

Ever since my siblings and I were little, we always wanted a pet of our own. When we were little, my parents were often offered puppies, but they would always refuse and decline, and so many times, my siblings were upset about their decision every time since we had so many chances to get one.

Around two weeks before my birthday, my aunt had called my mom one day and had told her that one of her friends was giving out free puppies and asked if we were interested in picking one. My aunt also told my mom that we should consider it because they were good dog breeds. On my birthday, my mom and I agreed to see the puppies to decide if we were going to take one, but my mom looked like she changed her mind since she constantly questioned me when we got there. Before we left, my mom asked me if I wanted one, and at the time, I wasn’t sure. But I badly wanted one and wanted to experience having a pet of my own, so I decided to take one home.

On my birthday, May 8, we got my puppy named Mimi. We got her when she was very young, and she’s the cutest thing ever. It makes me so sad seeing her grow since she’s getting bigger and older. She is a small black female Maltese and right now she is six months old. She is a very sweet and friendly dog, very smart too. Mimi is my best friend and favorite person; I love her so much. She always makes me smile and has helped me so much physically and mentally. I love the little things she does that bring so much joy to me like her getting excited and wagging her tail when she sees me in the morning and when I come home from school as well as asking me to play with her. I’m so glad and thankful that I brought her home because I wouldn’t know what to do without her, every little thing she does makes me happy, and I will forever love her.
