Nahzae Jahcory Cox, is a senior at Fresno High and he plays on the football and basketball team. He is 17 years old and he has been playing football since he was in second grade when his mom’s boyfriend at the time decided to enroll him. He plays receiver and corner and he says his favorite thing to do is score touch downs because it makes him feel like he’s the best.
Some of his nicknames are “NJ” and “Nah.” In his free time Nahzae likes to watch movies with his mom and sisters, and he also likes to watch college and NFL football. He says his Uncle Shawn is someone who motivates him because he taught him everything he knows about sports and he was a superstar at Edison High School. Nahzae said, “My mom also motivates me because she always says I can turn nothing into something and she always has my back and makes sure I’m successful.”
Nahzae Jahcory recently won offensive player of the game at the Battle of the 99 Central Valley Vs. Sacramento Army All Star Game. His first year playing football he won MVP and he believes that award played a big role in receiving the award he just earned. He says he was shocked to receive the award but that he’s also very happy his talent is being recognized. “I thank god and my coaches and my mom for putting me in situations to win,” said Nahzae.
His plans for the future consist of going to college, preferably the University of Oregon and continuing his football career. He has high hopes to one day make it to the NFL and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make this dream a reality.
