When Will the Pig Come Home?

Every year for the past 93 years. The Fresno High Warriors vs. The Roosevelt Roughriders compete against each other for the Little Big Pig Game trophy. Usually, it’s the final regular season game for both these teams. This year, and for the 7th straight year. Roosevelt defeated Fresno High 33-12. 

This was a big game for the Warriors. The Warriors came into this game needing a win to secure their spot in the playoffs, which would be their first playoff appearance in years. Unfortunately, they weren't able to pull it off with Roosevelt dominating from beginning to end. The offense was only able to click at the end of the half as they struggled throughout the whole game. Not only that but the Warrior’s defense couldn’t catch many breaks after giving up many big plays to the Roosevelt offense, giving up 5 touchdowns. The Roosevelt Roughriders hoist the gorgeous Pig Game trophy for the 7th straight year. 

Despite a rough ending for Fresno High’s season. The Warriors have a lot to be proud of this year as it was their best season in years.  With most of the talent coming back next year. The team for next year is looking bright.
